System features
Everything a practice needs. In detail.
Medisora covers the entire workflow of an outpatient practice — from patient booking through the visit and eZdravie to insurance claims and finances. Below you'll find a precise, professional description of every module.
01
Patient records & medical documentation
Electronic health records maintained in compliance with Act No. 576/2004 Coll. on healthcare and the Slovak Ministry of Health decree on health informatics standards.
Structured progress notes (SOAP)
Visit records structured as subjective complaints — objective findings — assessment — treatment plan. Diagnoses coded to ICD-10 (Slovak localization MKCH-10-SK) with type-ahead suggestions, procedures linked to the national catalogue of health procedures.
Immutable audit trail
A signed record cannot be altered. Every correction creates a new revision with a timestamp and the author's identity — the original wording is preserved. Every view of a patient's chart is logged (who, when, from where).
Complete patient chart
Histories (personal, family, medication, allergy), chronic diagnoses, current medication, attachments (PDF, DICOM, photographs), examination results. Full-text search across all documentation. The chart also includes a vaccination record.
Templates & quick texts
Custom note templates per specialty, quick phrases and auto-completion of frequently used texts. Print outputs: medical report, referral slip, spa treatment proposal, certificates.
02
Calendar, scheduling & patient communication
Scheduling for a solo physician or multiple sites, with online booking and automatic reminders.
Scheduling calendar
Daily, weekly and monthly views, color-coded visit types with defined durations, blocks and holidays, office hours per physician and site. Recurring appointments are in preparation.
Online booking 24/7
A public booking page for your practice: the patient picks a visit type and an open slot, and the system prevents collisions. Email confirmations and cancellations, spam protection.
SMS reminders
Automatic SMS reminders ahead of the visit demonstrably reduce no-shows. Email reminders, custom message templates and per-patient delivery history are in preparation.
Waiting room & appointment states
Appointment states: booked — confirmed — in waiting room — seen — no-show. A waiting list is built into the calendar: add a patient waiting for an earlier date to the queue and book them into a freed-up slot with one click.
03
eZdravie (Slovak national eHealth)
We are building the integration with Slovakia's national eHealth system through the interfaces of NCZI (the Slovak national eHealth operator) and preparing it for conformity verification across the full scope of outpatient practice. The modules will go live once conformity verification is successfully completed.
eRecept v6 ePrescriptions
Prescribing of medicines, dietetic foods and medical devices with ŠÚKL (Slovak drug agency) code lists and electronic signing with the ePZP card — in development. Duplicate-prescription warnings (same active substance or ATC group) already work today for local prescriptions.
eVyšetrenie v7 eExaminations
Submission of examination records (specialist findings, discharge summaries, imaging reports) to the patient's national electronic health book in the CDA format defined by NCZI standards — the module is in development.
eZapisovanie (Act No. 344/2025 Coll.)
Since 1 July 2026 every billed procedure must be paired with a unique record identifier in eZdravie — otherwise the insurer will not reimburse it. Medisora will pair record IDs automatically in the background; the feature is part of the upcoming eZdravie module.
ePZP sign-in & signing
We are preparing support for the ePZP card (the Slovak electronic healthcare professional card), including document signing. A local Medisora Agent will handle communication with the card reader — everything else runs in the cloud.
04
Health insurance claims
Complete billing of procedures to VšZP (code 25), Dôvera (24) and Union ZP (27) — Slovakia's three health insurers — with a focus on zero claim errors.
Claim batch generation
Monthly claim batches in the prescribed 751a data interchange format in a few clicks. Additional formats by provider type, plus corrective and additive batches, are in preparation.
Pre-submission validation
Checks before export: completeness of mandatory fields, birth number format, and valid diagnosis and procedure codes — you see errors as you chart. We are continuously expanding the validation set: checks of insurance coverage, procedure—diagnosis combinations and frequency limits are in preparation.
Capitation & billable add-ons
We are preparing capitation contract management for general practitioners and pediatricians, automatic capitation calculation, and tracking of billable add-on items and materials (ŠZM, special medical materials).
Settlement overview
Batch status tracking (prepared — submitted — accepted — returned). Payment matching and monthly recaps of insurer revenue per physician and site are in preparation.
05
Billing, invoicing & practice finances
Direct patient payments and your practice's financial overview in one place.
Cash register & receipts
Receipts for above-standard and non-reimbursed services, price lists by patient type, daily closings, tracking of cash and card payments.
Invoices
Invoicing for self-payers, companies and occupational health check-ups, numbering series, Pay by Square QR payments — patients pay by scanning the code in their banking app — and tracking of due dates and settlements.
Accounting exports
Structured CSV exports ready for your accountant, including a VAT breakdown by rate, and monthly and annual revenue overviews by source (insurers vs. direct payments).
Management analytics
Practice performance in real time: visit counts, diagnosis mix, revenue, no-shows, calendar utilization. Comparisons across periods and physicians.
06
Inventory management
Tracking of medicines and special medical materials with batch-level detail.
Batches & expiry dates
Goods received with batch number and expiry date, alerts for approaching expiry and low stock, stocktakes with a formal protocol.
Automatic dispensing
Materials linked to procedures are written off automatically when the procedure is billed, using the FEFO method — the earliest-expiring batch is always dispensed first. Your stock records stay accurate without manual write-offs.
Multiple warehouses
We are preparing separate stock per site or practice, transfers between warehouses, and stock valuation for accounting.
07
Medisora AI
We are preparing artificial intelligence designed for the Slovak outpatient practice — as the physician's assistant, never their replacement. Every output will be reviewed and signed by the physician.
Ambient documentation
With the patient's consent, the system will listen during the visit and turn the conversation into a draft structured note in Slovak — history, objective findings, assessment, recommendations. The physician reviews, edits and signs the draft.
Coding suggestions
AI suggests diagnoses per ICD-10 (Slovak localization MKCH-10-SK) and the corresponding procedures for billing. Suggestions respect the insurers' validation rules.
Patient summary
Before the visit, a one-paragraph summary of the relevant history: chronic diagnoses, current medication, recent visits, open tasks.
Data protection in AI features
Processing will take place exclusively on servers in the EU, recordings will be deleted after processing, and no data will ever be used to train models. The feature will be optional per physician and per patient.
08
Security, privacy & regulatory compliance
Health data is a special category of personal data — Medisora's architecture reflects that from the ground up.
Per-practice data isolation
Every practice has its own isolated database schema — data from different providers is never mixed. TLS 1.3 encryption in transit and AES-256 at rest, with sensitive fields additionally encrypted at the application level (AES-256-GCM).
Access control
Physician / nurse / reception / administrator roles with granular permissions, two-factor authentication (TOTP), automatic sign-out, sign-in history. For every patient chart you can show at any time who viewed it and when.
GDPR & the contractual framework
A data processing agreement under Article 28 of the GDPR is part of the service, along with patient consent records, the right to data extracts and portability, and documented sub-processor relationships. Data centers exclusively in the EU.
Backups & continuity
Daily backups with point-in-time recovery, data stored exclusively in EU data centers. A geographically separate backup site and further redundancy tiers are in preparation; the system is designed around statutory retention periods for medical records (20 years under Slovak law).
EHDS readiness
A data model designed around HL7 FHIR R4 and the European Electronic Health Record Exchange Format (EEHRxF) — ready for the European Health Data Space regulation (EU 2025/327).
09
Integrations, API & your data
An open system: your practice's data belongs to you, and we can connect it to whatever you use.
Open API (FHIR R4)
We are preparing a public REST API following the HL7 FHIR R4 standard for patients, appointments, examinations and prescriptions — documented, versioned, with API keys per integration.
Laboratories
We are preparing electronic lab orders and results from laboratory networks (Unilabs, Medirex and other Slovak providers) directly into the patient's chart, with structured values and reference ranges.
Export without lock-in
A complete export of all your practice's data at any time, free of charge — one click downloads a ZIP with structured data (JSON and CSV). Your data is never held hostage — we're confident you'll stay for the product.
Telemedicine & patient portal
We are preparing video consultations straight from the calendar, secure sharing of documents and results with patients, and online prescription renewal requests.
